Big happy family
Around every two years, the Searle family has me do an extended family shoot just prior to Christmas, and it’s been wonderful to capture the growing families each time. They’re now a big group of 12 and we recently had a relaxed session at Wittunga Botanic Gardens, spread over 2 hours but with enough time to have a few snacks and breaks in between photos.
Our connection goes back to my high school days when ‘Nanna Colleen’, then ‘Mrs Searle’ to me, taught me everything I know about algebra and trigonometry, while I played in music class with her daughter Jane (who from those moments, became a lifelong special friend).
I’ve since photographed their other daughter Kate’s wedding to Paul, and more baby shoots than I can count! It’s been wonderful and such a joy to keep the photo tradition growing.
Here’s some from our most recent shoot…
If you like the look of these genuinely happy and connected photos, please contact me to enquire about your own family photos. And you can follow my work in Adelaide and beyond by liking my Facebook page here.
Thanks Colleen and Peter for having me photograph the family once again xx
