A Genie at Work

Photos taken during a shoot in 2011 – partly to capture a friend, and artist, in her amazing workspace but also to develop an exhibition I put together for the SALA Festival later that year, called ‘A Genie at Work’.

Eugenia Neave has been a shoemaker for over 20 years and has a workshop and shopfront in Glenelg South. I loved our time capturing her tools and techniques, and even some tacks tucked ‘safely’ away in her mouth!
